How it Works

To get started, the following will be needed:

Initial Injuries

Specialty Care Live Has Expanded its Telemedicine Services

    Specialty Care Live may be used to evaluate employees who tested positive for or were potentially exposed to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) before they return to work.

    Employees previously seen at a Specialty Care Live medical center for physical therapy may use our telemedicine platform to continue their rehab sessions.

    Employees treated for an injury at a Specialty Care Live medical center may use Specialty Care Live Telemed for their
    injury rechecks.

The length of each visit depends on your condition and medical needs. One advantage of using Specialty Care Live for qualified injuries is you will not spend time traveling to and from a medical facility or sitting in a waiting room.

An employer authorization form must be submitted to use Specialty Care Live. The authorization form can be submitted in the following ways:

Specialty Care Live deploys a HIPAA-compliant system of secure communication to maintain the integrity of your protected health information (PHI). The platform is equipped to monitor communications for prevention of accidental or malicious breaches. In addition, Specialty Care Live does not record video visits or store patient records in this platform.

It depends on the state. Our ultimate goal is to provide nationwide access to occupational health clinicians using our telemedicine platform; however, there are some states where Specialty Care Live is currently unavailable.

No. Specialty Care Live is a telemedicine platform designed to manage less serious work injuries only. It should not be utilized to treat health conditions that are not work-related.
